Alec Soth on Sleeping by the Mississippi: SOLD OUT

Monday 18th September 2017 7pm - 8pm 107 Charing Cross Road Chargeable Event

Evolving from a series of road trips along the Mississippi River, Alec Soth’s classic collection of photography, Sleeping by the Mississippi, explores procreation, race, crime, religion, redemption, politics, and cheap sex in a series of richly descriptive, large-format color photographs.

Come hear from one of America's greatest living photographers for this exclusive event where Alec Soth will be discussing his latest work and the process of capturing the loneliness, longing, and reverie of America's iconic yet oft-neglected ‘third coast’.

Alec will be in conversation with writer and photography critic Sean O'Hagan.

Tickets: £8 per ticket or £5 for Foyalty members. You must have your Foyalty card on you on the night to present at the door. Not a Foyalty member? Sign up for free here.
Venue: The Auditorium at Foyles, Level 6, 107 Charing Cross Road

Please note, no physical tickets will be issued (to save the trees!). Your email confirmation is proof of booking.‚Äč
