Animal Science with Zoologist Nicola Davies

Saturday 1st August 2015 2pm - 3pm 107 Charing Cross Road Children's Event, Chargeable Event

Did you know that a two year old child could crawl through the arteries of a blue whale? Or that its heart is the same size as a smart car? (The whale’s that is, not the two-year-old’s). As a former presenter of the BBC’s The Really Wild Show, trained zoologist and award-winning author, Nicola Davies comes to Foyles armed with weird and wonderful facts from the world of nature to inspire any child’s curiosity. Drawing on her books Talk, Talk, Squawk! and Deadly! as well as her many other fiction and non-fiction books for children, Nicola offers an eye-opening introduction to the science of animals, and tells stories of her own thrilling encounters with creatures great and small.

Recommended for budding young zoologists aged 7+
