Arthur C. Clarke Awards 2017
The Arthur C. Clarke Award is the most prestigious award for science fiction in Britain. This year marks 100 years since the birth of Arthur C. Clarke and we're delighted once again to be hosting the award ceremony, at which this year's winner will be revealed by Adrian Tchaikovsky, author of last year's winning novel Children of Time, and the Director of the Clarke Award, Tom Hunter.
The six shortlisted books in the running to receive the 2017 prize and a commemorative engraved bookend are:
A Closed and Common Orbit – Becky Chambers (Hodder & Stoughton)
Ninefox Gambit – Yoon Ha Lee (Solaris)
After Atlas – Emma Newman (Roc)
Occupy Me – Tricia Sullivan (Gollancz)
Central Station – Lavie Tidhar (PS Publishing)
The Underground Railroad – Colson Whitehead (Fleet)
