Foyles Book Club - Leaving the Atocha Station

Tuesday 24th September 2013 7:30pm - 8:30pm Westfield White City, Foyles Unit 2054, Westfield, White City, London, W12 7GE Literary Event, Free Event

Adam is a young poet on a fellowship in Madrid, spending his days smoking weed, wandering around art museums, and trying to convince people he's the prodigious talent that he's supposed to be. He's a narcisstic, self-absorbed jerk, and yet somehow his story blossoms into a funny, deeply affecting journey of self-discovery. Ignited by Ben Lerner's electrifying prose, this is one of the best debut novels of recent years. Read an interview with the author here.

The Book Club meets on the last Tuesday of every month at the Bush Theatre. If you're interested in joining or have any questions, please contact Adam at adam.howard@foyles.co.uk
