Chopin and Liszt: two Romantic piano sonatas, Concert

Wednesday 18th June 2014 1pm - 2pm 107 Charing Cross Road Music Event, Free Event

Join Robert Hunter and Chris Mear as they play two of the big Romantic piano sonatas from the mid-19th century. Robert is playing Liszt's sonata in B minor, an innovative, powerful and personal piece written in one unbroken 30 minute movement. Chris will be playing Chopin's sonata in B minor, his final large-scale work for solo piano, which distils many of his unique styles of piano composition into a single piece.

Venue: The Auditorium at Foyles Charing Cross Road

Tickets: Free, but places must be reserved. Simply add the required number to the basket below. Please note: no physical tickets will be issued; the email despatch confirmation you receive will be proof of your booking.

This event is part of the Foyles Grand Opening Festival, celebrating our move to 107 Charing Cross Road. See the full event programme, including author talks, workshops, formal department openings and much more.
