Come Write In: The Bad Beginning

Sunday 6th November 2016 10am - 11am Grand Central Birmingham Free Event

For the month of November, we’re providing a Come Write In community space in association with NaNoWriMo, for budding writers to meet up and work on their creative writing. Whether you’re starting from scratch, have a half-written novel gathering dust, or are a full-time writer, this is the perfect opportunity to take time out of your busy schedules, for some quality writing time.

This is the first of our three sessions and is all about getting started. Meet fellow writers and share your experiences of writing that impossible first sentence, find out how other got motivated to write, and enjoy some quiet time to work on your own novel.

National Novel Writing Month (NaNoWriMo) is a fun, seat-of-your-pants approach to creative writing.  The idea behind it is that working towards the goal of writing a 50,000-word novel by 11:59 PM on November 30. Valuing enthusiasm, determination, and a deadline, NaNoWriMo is for anyone who has ever thought about writing a novel.

Every November, thousands of writers around the world congregate at Come Write In spaces to pursue their creative dreams and write the first draft of their novel, and this year, we’re joining the club.

Join our cosy, private writing corner and share your writers’ block and your literary triumphs with like-minded people over a cup of tea in our lovely Birmingham shop one hour before it opens to our customers.

We will be providing official NaNo writing tools and inspiration, showing you how to start uploading your novel, and serving some complimentary hot drinks and biscuits.
