Come Write In: The Midway Slump

Sunday 20th November 2016 10am - 11am Grand Central Birmingham Literary Event

For the month of November, we’re providing a Come Write In community space in association with NaNoWriMo, for budding writers to meet up and work on their creative writing. Whether you’re starting from scratch, have a half-written novel gathering dust, or are a full-time writer, this is the perfect opportunity to take time out of your busy schedules, for some quality writing time.

This is the second of our three NaNo writing sessions and is all about injecting some enthusiasm back into your writing, and helping you escape that mid-way slump. However far along you are in the process, come along and share your experiences and advice about breaking through a tricky plot twist or a troublesome character. Or, just sit and enjoy a quiet space, surrounded by shelves and selves of inspiration!

National Novel Writing Month (NaNoWriMo) is a fun, seat-of-your-pants approach to creative writing.  The idea behind it is that working towards the goal of writing a 50,000-word novel by 11:59 PM on November 30. Valuing enthusiasm, determination, and a deadline, NaNoWriMo is for anyone who has ever thought about writing a novel.

Every November, thousands of writers around the world congregate at Come Write In spaces to pursue their creative dreams and write the first draft of their novel, and this year, we’re joining the club.

Join our cosy writing corner and share your writers’ block and your literary triumphs with like-minded people over a cup of tea in our lovely Birmingham shop.

We will be providing official NaNo writing tools and inspiration, showing you how to start uploading your novel, and serving some complimentary hot drinks and biscuits.
