Storytelling and drawing with author and illustrator Eileen Browne

Saturday 18th August 2012 2pm - 3pm Royal Festival Hall Children's Event, Free Event

Join author and illustrator Eileen Browne as she reads and draws from her new book, Boo Boo Baby and the Giraffe, and helps you to draw your very own baby!

Boo Boo Baby has lots of fun bouncing from animal to animal - but here comes a... rhino! 'Boo hoo!' says Baby Boo Boo, so the animals comfort her, bouncing her back to bed.

Eileen will also be reading from two of her other fantastic children's books including Handa's Surprise, which is being performed at Southbank Centre's Priceless Wonderground this August (see below for more details).

All of these titles - and more - are available to buy instore.

This family event is perfect for children aged 2 - 4 years. It's free but places are limited, so email rfhkids@foyles.co.uk to reserve yours. All children must be accompanied by an adult for the duration of the event, which will last around 45 minutes to one hour.

For more details or to book tickets for Handa's Surprise, presented by Little Angel Theatre, visit Southbank Centre's website here: http://ticketing.southbankcentre.co.uk/find/dance-performance/tickets/handas-surprise-66194

Swither, Shoogle, Wheesht - Kirsty Logan on the language of The Gloaming
17/04/2018

Kirsty Logan's second novel, The Gloaming, is a swirling tale threaded through with magic, heartbreak, love and mermaids. It is studded with evocative but perhaps unfamiliar words, adding atmosphere, mood and expression. Exclusively for Foyles, she has written about some of these Scottish words, that head up each chapter of the book.
