Faye Patton

Wednesday 27th November 2013 6pm - 7pm 107 Charing Cross Road Ray's Jazz Event, Free Event

A uniquely individual nu jazz singer-songwriter with a contemporary yet pleasingly retro gospel/blues sound that recalls jazz pioneers of the 40's and 50's, Faye Patton has drawn comparisons with Ray Charles, Horace Silver and Judy Garland. Expect rich piano stylings, and vocal heights and depths that will amaze. A veteran of Derry and Isle of Wight Jazz festivals, Faye plays both solo and with her talented band members. She has an ongoing residency at the extremely hip Soho Theatre Piano Bar, where she can be found on alternate weekends. Her current album has been called 'a supreme effort of both free-form and choreographed musicianship'. (Rock 'n' Reel magazine.)
