Friday 3rd February 2017 1pm - 2pm 107 Charing Cross Road Music Event, Free Event

Robert Hunter - piano

Zoë Mather - piano

The Planets                 Gustav Holst

Zoë Mather was born in London and musically educated at the Yehudi Menuhin School and the Guildhall School of Music & Drama. As a soloist she has performed regularly for BBC Radio 3 and has given masterclasses around the country. She teaches piano at the Junior Guildhall, Forest School and the Yehudi Menuhin School.

The Planets is famously known as a suite for a large orchestra. The piano duet arrangement Robert and Zoë will be performing was discovered just over 20 years ago by Pianist John York, who found it in a cupboard at St. paul’s Girl’s School in Hammersmith, where Holst was head of music and also composed this work.

Join us for an afternoon of fine music for our first Friday Lunchtime Recital of 2017.

Venue: The Auditorium at Foyles, Level 6, 107 Charing Cross Road
Tickets: Free. There's no need to pre-book a ticket, but if you'd like to reserve a place at the event please add the required number of tickets to the basket below.
