Antonio Forcione & Adriano Adewale

Thursday 3rd November 2011 6:30pm - 7:30pm 107 Charing Cross Road Ray's Jazz Event, Free Event

Award-winning guitar virtuoso Antonio Forcione joins dynamic Brazilian percussionist Adriano Adewale to form a breathtaking duo, which masterfully blends soul-jazz and flamenco guitar with African and South American rhythms. Antonio will be performing some of his old favourites as well as tracks from the new album Sketches of Africa (out 2012). Inspired by recent travels to the Continent, this is Antonio's first new recording in five years. A beautifully captured concoction of world music with an emphasis on what African music does best: rhythm and melody. This event is in collaboration with ICMP (Institute of Contemporary Music Performance).

Venue: The Café at Foyles
Tickets
: Free, no need to book.
