Foyles Book Club: The Girls

Tuesday 16th February 2016 7pm - 8:30pm 107 Charing Cross Road Literary Event, Free Event

Once a month, Foyles customers and staff get together to discuss a book chosen by its members. It's an opportunity to share our different interpretations of what we're reading, to adamantly disagree and to meet people united by reading.

This month's book is The Girls, by Emma Cline—a spellbinding tale of girlhood and the lure of a soon-to-be-infamous cult, set in Northern California at the violent end to the 1960s. Already having gained praise by fellow authors including Mark Haddon and Jennifer Egan, The Girls is set to be one of the big debut novels of the year.

Not published in the UK until 16 June 2016, The Girls is made available early to Foyles Book Club readers courtesy of Vintage PublishingAdvance copies will be given out to attendees of our January 12 Book Club meeting.

Venue: The Auditorium at Foyles, Level 6, 107 Charing Cross Road
