Foyles presents an evening dedicated to the winner of the Costa Book of the Year - Helen Dunmore

Wednesday 14th February 2018 7pm - 8pm 107 Charing Cross Road Literary Event, Chargeable Event

Foyles is honoured to host an evening dedicated to the winner of the 2017 Costa Book of the Year, the late poet Helen Dunmore.

The Costa Book Awards is the only major UK book prize open solely to authors resident in the UK and Ireland and which, uniquely, recognises some of the most enjoyable books across five categories – First Novel, Novel, Biography, Poetry and Children’s Book - published in the last year.

Inside the Wave was Helen Dunmore’s tenth and final poetry book - a life affirming collection of meditations on the bridge between the living and the dead wrought with the spare, eloquent lyricism she was always known for.

Hosted by journalist and broadcaster Alex Clark, the evening will remember and celebrate the author and her winning collection, including discussion and readings from: poet and playwright, Stephanie Norgate, the poet, Lawrence Sail and writer and Emeritus Professor, Helen Taylor.

Tickets: £8 standard / £5 Foyalty customers*. Each ticket includes a complimentary glass of prosecco.

Venue: The Auditorium at Foyles, Level 6, Charing Cross Road, London
