The Inside Track: Jason Kenny and Laura Trott Book Signing

Thursday 8th December 2016 1pm - 2pm Westfield Stratford City Literary Event, Signing, Free Event

Due to a last minute change in cycling training and racing commitments Laura Trott and Jason Kenny are unable to attend events. They apologise to all customers and hope everyone has a very Happy Christmas.

Four year’s ago, a stone’s throw from our bookshop in Westfield Stratford, Jason Kenny and Laura Trott each won their first Olympic gold medal. Now cycling’s golden couple return to the scene of their triumph, fresh from their latest victories in Rio, to sign copies of their revealing autobiography, The Inside Track.

This inspirational book explores the world of two of the UK’s most successful athletes, how they were inspired to take up cycling, the highs and lows of competing, and what it is like being cycling’s golden couple.

From Bolton and Cheshunt to Beijing, London and Rio, this combined autobiography has Laura and Jason’s relationship at its core, while detailing how being in the unique position of competing in the same sport, but not together or against each other, impacts their lives, and how it can be both a blessing and a curse. It compares their different experiences of racing at junior level, and explores the role of family, friends and relationships along the way that led them to the senior circuit, to meeting each other and, eventually, falling in love.

Register your place in the signing queue to guarantee your chance to meet these two utterly inspiring athletes and to be in with the chance of winning a SIGNED Addidas cycling jersey. Book your place and arrive no later that 12.45pm to be automatcally entered into the competition.
