Jonny discovered the saxophone in his teens, playing local pubs and jam sessions before going on to study jazz at Trinity College of Music. He then graduated to venues including Ronnie Scott's and the Rotterdam Jazz Festival. He takes his inspiration from Stan Getz, Lester Young and Warne Marsh and his band plays music influenced by the West Coast School with a strong emphasis on melody and swing.
