Since moving to London from his home town of Leeds, guitarist Jules Faife has toured internationally with Zimbabwean singer Netsayi, performed Indian classical music with Nirakar, and played flamenco fusion with El Aire. He also plays in renowned London soul-funk group Bassistry. This year Jules recorded his first solo album, which brings together his influences of the past 15 years. The album's sound is based around Spanish guitar, complemented by a range of other instruments in a blend of arranged and improvised jazz. At Ray's Jazz, Jules will be performing tracks from the album along with an assortment of Latin and Spanish-style pieces.
