Launching the Ship

Thursday 19th February 2015 6pm - 7:30pm Bristol, Foyles, 6 Quakers Friars, Cabot Circus, Bristol, BS1 3BU Literary Event, Free Event

Discover talented new writer Antonia Honeywell at the launch of her exciting debut novel The Ship.

Described as 'mind-blowing', this coming-of-age dystopian thriller tells the story of Lalla, a sixteen year old who has spent most of her life isolated in a hostile and decaying London. After being forced to live on a five-hundred- passenger ship Lalla is confronted with the overwhelming tyrannical love of her otherwise adored father that seeps its way into all aspects of her new communal life.

Enjoy an evening with the gifted Antonia Honeywell, a graduate of the Curtis Brown writing course 2011, who will be offering insight into the book in an interview with Hugo Award-winning British science fiction critic and owner of Wizard's Tower Press, Cheryl Morgan. Antonia will also be reading a short passage from the book and signing copies after the event.

Tickets: This event is free but booking is recommended. Please contact bristolevents@foyles.co.uk to reserve your place(s).
