Great Food - Pen Vogler

Wednesday 7th September 2011 6:30pm - 7:30pm 107 Charing Cross Road Literary Event, Chargeable Event

Penguin's Great Food series brings together the sharpest, funniest and most delicious food writing and recipes from the past four hundred years. Join series editor Pen Vogler, who has been cooking her way through the series, to discuss food through the ages and the challenges of recreating historical recipes. You'll be invited to try four different cake and biscuit recipes from books published in 1615, 1759, 1845 and 1922, and have fun guessing what the ingredients are!

You can read Pen's wonderful food blog, Pen's Great Food Club, here.

Venue: The Gallery at Foyles
Tickets: £3.00. Our Customer Services staff will ensure that your ticket is despatched to you using the most appropriate speed of service. Tickets bought in the 24 hours before the event will be held for collection at the event location. Please choose the Free UK Standard despatch option during checkout.
