Foyles x ELCAF Presents: Local Artists Reception with Simon Moreton, Donya Todd and Ed Cheverton

Tuesday 16th May 2017 6:30pm - 8pm Cabot Circus, Bristol Literary Event, Free Event

Foyles x ELCAF is a new collaboration which sees the UK’s largest independent bookshop teaming up with the East London Comic & Arts Festival to celebrate some of the best creative talent in the UK. This year, we open our doors in Chelmsford, London, Birmingham and Bristol to host a series of workshops, talks and one-to-one meetings with illustrators, comic artists and experts in the field. Curated by ELCAF, this eclectic programme aims to celebrate the dynamic work of artists that are making waves in the UK’s independent comic, narrative art and illustration scene. This is our first adult event of the series, designed to unite artists and art lovers.

Come along to an informal evening at Foyles’ Bristol store with comic artists Simon Moreton (Smoo Comics), Donya Todd (Comic Book Slumber Party) and Ed Cheverton (Jazz Dad Books), as they discuss their work, inspirations, and the world of small press.

The evening will kick off with five minute presentations from each artist, followed by a ten minute casual Q&A with the audience. Then, there will the opportunity to meet and mingle with the artists and each other over a glass of wine.

Tickets: This is a free event, simply add the required number of tickets to the basket below. Please note, no physical tickets will be issued (to save the trees!). Your email confirmation is proof of booking.

Venue: Foyles, Brigstowe Street, Cabot Circus, Bristol, BS1 3BH
