Local Author Reception: C.L.Taylor and Sarah Hilary

Thursday 11th May 2017 6:30pm - 8pm Cabot Circus, Bristol Literary Event, Free Event

As part of our quest to showcase great writers we host a series of Local Author Receptions at Foyles Bristol. For this session we have invited two great local crime writers. We are delighted to welcome writers, C.L. Taylor and Sarah Hilary.

C.L. Taylor started writing fiction in 2005 and her short stories have won several awards and have been published by a variety of literary and women’s magazines. She is a Sunday Times bestseller and writes nail-biting psychological thrillers. Her latest novel The Escape, follows a chance meeting between Jo Blackmore and a stranger, which turns her world upside down and leads her to run away with her two year old daughter.

Sarah Hilary has worked as a bookseller, with the Royal Navy and now, as an author. Her debut novel, Someone Else's Skin, won the Theakston Old Peculier Crime Novel of the Year 2015 and was a World Book Night selection for 2016. The Marnie Rome series continued in 2016 with Tastes Like Fear and now she is returning with the fourth Marnie Rome Novel, Quieter than Killing, a nail-biting thriller about two investigators and their quest to find the truth about a series of mysterious assaults.

The evening will kick off with the writers introducing themselves and giving a short reading. Then there will be the opportunity to meet the authors, mingle and enjoy some complimentary refreshments. We will be selling a selection of their books on the night and the authors will be happy to sign copies.

Join us in celebrating the literary talent right on our doorstep with this mid-week treat.
