Literary Event, Signing, Chargeable Event
Join science fiction and fantasy publisher Gollancz, in the cosy Phoenix Artist Club (just across the road from Foyles, Charing Cross Road) for an afternoon of workshops and talks focused on the mechanics and skills needed by the modern writer.
The session includes a fascinating insight into the publishing process from Gollancz staff, a speed-workshopping session where small groups of attendees will benefit from a series of 15 minute sessions with different authors to discuss the business of being a writer; and a panel discussion. The session will run from 3pm until 6pm, and will be followed by a signing. Space is very limited!
Justina Robson & Tricia Sullivan Creative Writing Masterclass
Join Justina Robson and Tricia Sullivan as they share with attendees their top tips for writing a novel and answer your questions.
What makes a compelling and realistic character? How do you create them? Join our panels Ben Aaronovitch, Suzanne McLeod, Mark Barrowcliffe and Tom Lloyd as they discuss the trials and tribulations of their own characters and give advice for aspiring writers.
Attendees will break into small groups of 3-5 and have the opportunity to sit round a table and discuss any aspects of their novel, or the writing process with some of their favourite authors. Every 20 minutes a bell will ring and the author you get to speak to will be switched.
