**THIS EVENT IS NOW SOLD OUT**
Born in the mid-twentieth century and raised in the heart of conservative North Carolina, Armistead Maupin lost his virginity to another man on the very spot where the first shots of the Civil War were fired. Realizing that the South was too small for him he took to the road in search of adventure.
For this exclusive event Armistead Maupin, author of Tales of the City, Sure of You and Mary Ann in Autumn, will discuss his new memoir, Logical Family, where he recounts his search for the people he could call his own.
With an introduction from Matthew Todd, author of Straight Jacket, Armistead will be recounting his losses and life-changing experiences and looking back on the flesh-and-blood characters who have impacted his life, as endearing and unforgettable as the vivid, fraught men and women who populate his enchanting novels.
