Tuesday 30th November 2010 - 6pm 107 Charing Cross Road Ray's Jazz Event, Free Event

WSP come to Ray's at Foyles in the middle of a nationwide tour promoting the release of their first album, 'Relentless'. WSP formed in 2009, and have quickly laid down impressive live credentials at some of the country's top venues and festivals, as well as being recently featured as 'Taking Off' (Jazzwise, August 2010). The group is centred around the compositional eccentricity of pianist Dave Morecroft, who delights in meddling with jazz in its many guises. Gutsy, energetic and emotionally driven, the group draws on a wealth of musical experience in jazz, funk, improvisation, rock, punk and contemporary classical music.

WSP gratefully acknowledge support from Jazz Services Ltd and Arts Council England.

Dave Morecroft :: Piano & Keyboards
Tim Ower :: Saxophone
Raph Clarkson :: Trombone
Conor Chaplin :: Bass
