2nd Floor Opening! Meet cyclist Rob Penn, get 15% off instore plus First Book Free for kids

Saturday 20th August 2011 9am - Sunday 21st August 2011 5pm Bristol, Foyles, 6 Quakers Friars, Cabot Circus, Bristol, BS1 3BU Literary Event, Free Event

We arrived in Quakers Friars in the spring of this year with one of our two floors open, eager to hear what Bristol wanted from its newest bookshop before completing the job. Now we are pleased to announce the opening of our second floor, with even more books and an events and gallery space as well. We've extended our range of biography, sport, health, children's, politics, history and more, while also adding further titles for incoming students. Our events space will be home to a variety of literary evenings, from authors you've known for ages to the latest on the scene, plus book clubs and open mic nights to name a few.

Join us as we celebrate the opening of our new space. Over the weekend we'll be offering 15% off on all books instore*, plus we'll have drinks and cakes to lure you upstairs. At 2pm on Saturday you can meet cycling enthusiast and author of It's All About the Bike Rob Penn, joined by a wheel-builder from Argos cycles.

Bring your children in for our First Book Free promotion - we're literally giving away one of five free titles to children this weekend, no strings attached (not that we wouldn't love you to come back!).

And finally, enter your name to win a £100 shopping spree instore at Foyles.

We want to thank Bristol for supporting us as we opened in a new city - we've felt very welcome, and look forward to continuing to be your booksellers.
