SOLD OUT Regeneration - Shiv Malik, Deborah Grayson, Adam Ramsay, and Clare Coatman in conversation with Evan Davis

Thursday 23rd February 2012 6:30pm - 7:30pm 107 Charing Cross Road Literary Event, Free Event

The incapacity of the major political parties in Britain to think beyond their short-term electoral interests has hit Regeneration jktBritain's young the hardest, leading to a failure to act on climate change, savage cutbacks in education and training, an acute shortage of housing, big cuts in youth services and, for many, the prospect of an old age without pensions. Things have deteriorated to the point where many young people are finding it impossible to settle down and have families - the classic marks of adulthood.

In tonight's panel, contributors to the collection of essays Regeneration will discuss the question of intergenerational justice and how today's young - 'we are the most well-educated, innovative, dynamic and open generation in human history' - are best placed for turning this situation around and creating a better future for all.
