Bristol, Foyles, 6 Quakers Friars, Cabot Circus, Bristol, BS1 3BU
Exhibition, Free Event
For almost three decades, the Centre for Fine Print Research has worked with staff and third year MA Printmaking students from the Department of Creative Industries, University of the West of England, to produce an annual show of limited edition prints. Designed as a print exchange between artists, the Miniprint exhibition also raises funds towards third year Masters students' degree show, and is sponsored by John Purcell Paper, who supply paper stock for the artists' use in the exhibition.
The format for the prints is the same every year, with a set paper size (20 x 25 cm) and a maximum image size. Subject matters and processes are decided by the 30 individual artists, who each produce a limited edition of 60 prints for the project. In return for their participation, each artist receives a full set of 30 prints. Five of the remaining prints from each edition are archived in the CFPR and UWE collections, and the remaining 25 are available to buy.
Foyles are proud to host the exhibition for the second year in a row in our Gallery on the first floor - entry is free to all during our usual opening hours. Prints are available to buy unframed for £18 directly from the shop - please ask a bookseller for details, or email us at firstname.lastname@example.org.
