Bristol Women’s Literature Festival presents Lynn Shepherd: The Last Secret of the Shelleys

Monday 18th February 2013 6:30pm - 7:30pm Bristol, Foyles, 6 Quakers Friars, Cabot Circus, Bristol, BS1 3BU Literary Event, Free Event

Lynn Shepherd is the author of Murder at Mansfield Park and Tom-All-Alone's. In her new novel, A Treacherous Likeness, she explores the dark secrets and tangled lives of the dazzling but doomed Young Romantics: the poet Shelley, his wife Mary, author of Frankenstein, and Lord Byron, famously 'mad, bad, and dangerous to know'.

Beginning in London in 1850, A Treacherous Likeness takes us back through time and across Europe, and in this exclusive Bristol Women's Literature Festival fringe event, Lynn discusses the secret life of the Shelleys, offering shocking new answers to the unexplained mysteries of the lives of two of Britain's most famous authors.

This is a fundraising event for Bristol Women's Literature Festival, and donations will be gratefully accepted on the night. Entry is free but booking is essential. Please email to reserve your place(s).
