WorldService Project

Wednesday 15th May 2013 6pm - 7pm 107 Charing Cross Road Ray's Jazz Event, Free Event

Led by pianist/composer Dave Morecroft, WorldService Project's music speaks through dark, playful building passages, plotting a winding path through dissonance, complex rhythmic manipulation and downright silliness. At other times it draws on the language of 20th century Classical composers layered over boisterous grooves more commonly found in albums by heavy rock artists. Imagine a (loud!) four-way cage match between Frank Zappa, Loose Tubes, Stravinsky and Meshuggah.

Line-up:

Dave Morecroft :: Keys
Tim Ower :: Saxophones
Raphael Clarkson :: Trombone
Conor Chaplin :: Bass
Liam Waugh :: Drums

Venue: the Café at Foyles Charing Cross Road
Tickets: Free, no need to book, just come along!
