SOLD OUT The Cycling Anthology II Launch: 100 Years of the Tour de France

Wednesday 29th May 2013 6:15pm - 8:30pm 107 Charing Cross Road Literary Event, Chargeable Event

Tonight we mark the 100th edition of the Tour de France with the launch of the latest volume of The Cycling Anthology.

Hosted by television presenter Ned Boulting, the evening will include an opportunity to hear a panel of experienced journalists, all contributors to The Cycling Anthology series, share their personal highs and lows of covering the Tour and look forward to this summer's event.

Daniel Lloyd, who completed the Tour de France in 2010 for the Cervélo team, joins the line-up to give an insider's view on the race, having contributed an essay about about life as a domestique (or Tour de France team helper) to The Cycling Anthology. The evening will be rounded off with an audience Q&A session - your chance to quiz the experts on all aspects of life on two wheels.

Guests include:
Daniel Lloyd (finished the 2010 Tour de France for the Cervélo team)
Jeremy Whittle (author, Bad Blood)
Daniel Friebe (author, Eddy Merckx: The Cannibal and Mountain High)
Richard Moore (author, Sky's the Limit and Slaying the Badger)
Richard Williams (journalist, The Guardian)
Ellis Bacon and Lionel Birnie (editors, The Cycling Anthology)

The Cycling Anthology is a collection of original essays by some of the best cycling writers. This volume is a Tour de France special edition and a copy of the book (retail price £7.99) is included in the ticket price for the event, for you to collect on the evening.
