Since his award-winning debut novel Quite Ugly One Morning, Christopher Brookmyre has established himself as one of Britain's leading crime novelists. His latest, Flesh Wounds, the third in his Jasmine Sharp crime series, asks the question 'How far would you go to protect the people you love?'
Elected as the first president of the Humanism Society of Scotland, Brookmyre dedicated his 11th novel, Attack of the Unsinkable Rubber Ducks, to James Randi and Richard Dawkins. He described the book as 'a satire on the efforts of the religious lobby, the psychic charlatans and their incurably credulous dupes to wage war on science and impose their "no, we've no evidence, we just like the notion" philosophy upon our children's education.'
Brookmyre talks about his writing, his conversion from Catholicism to Humanism, and other influences upon his work.
