The hand-written texts of the medieval scribe have long been a treasured part of our cultural history, and thankfully their skills survive to the present day, despite the development of the printing press in the 15th century and digital type in the 20th. This exhibition of vivid settings of poetry and prose, curated by the Calligraphy and Lettering Arts Society, is a fantastic demonstration of calligraphy as a living, breathing, contemporary medium.
The Calligraphy and Lettering Arts Society (CLAS) exists to promote the development of all Lettering Arts, including calligraphy, through exhibitions and study.
