Timecraft Octet

Thursday 7th November 2013 6pm - 7pm 107 Charing Cross Road Ray's Jazz Event, Free Event

Timecraft is a new octet that plays the compositions of drummer Dave Smyth. After a debut performance in late 2011 that featured iconic saxophonist Iain Ballamy as a special guest, the group embarked on a UK tour in June 2013 before heading into the studio to record their first album. Drawing influence from the contemporary British jazz greats, the group explores improvisation within the context of captivating and melodic tunes.
