We are living today with Supermen and Wonder Women, not only in comics, films, games and television, but as cosplay escapism, alternative personas, communities and lifestyles. Acclaimed British writers for Marvel comics, Kieron Gillen (Iron Man, Young Avengers) and Si Spurrier (Judge Dredd, X-Men) join academics Richard Reynolds (Superheroes: A Modern Mythology) and Will Brooker (Batman Unmasked) to analyse the definitions, appeal and relevance of superheroes. In association with Oxford University Press.
