Fight The Power! A Visual History of Protest Among The English-Speaking Peoples

Saturday 9th November 2013 4pm - 6pm 107 Charing Cross Road Literary Event, Chargeable Event

The great leaps of social progress have always been part of a long history of struggle, a history which is too often neglected. The story of protest is powerfully told in this remarkable comic, Fight the Power, from New Internationalist, visualising fourteen key moments from the last 200 years. Contributors Benjamin Dickson, Hunt Emerson and John Spelling join Tariq Ali, who has penned the book's introduction, and co-writer Sean Michael Wilson in Japan, to consider the lessons and legacy in this inspiring graphic chronicle of protest movements.
