Wednesday 15th January 2014 6pm - 7:30pm Bristol, Foyles, 6 Quakers Friars, Cabot Circus, Bristol, BS1 3BU Literary Event, Free Event

Join us for the first in a series of events with author services company SilverWood Books. This session for writers and indie authors looking to self-publish will offer a wealth of information about self-publishing to a high standard, avoiding expensive pitfalls, and generally setting yourself up for success.

Publishing Director Helen Hart from SilverWood Books will talk about the practicalities and realities of publishing your own book, from ISBNs and distribution to cover designs and marketing, while local author Sandy Osborne will talk about how she self-published and now promotes her record-breaking novel Girl Cop.

Writers will leave with an understanding of the journey before them, along with practical tips to help them avoid spending money in the wrong places.

This event is free but booking is advised; please email bristolevents@foyles.co.uk or call the shop on 011 7376 3975.
