Patricia V Dawson Retrospective

Tuesday 25th February 2014 9:30am - Saturday 1st March 2014 5:30pm 107 Charing Cross Road Exhibition, Free Event

The Gallery at Foyles brings together a selection of etchings, pastel work and reliefs for this retrospective of the work of fine artist Patricia Dawson.
Dawson, who passed away last spring, originally trained in textile design before studying printmaking at Morley College. Inspired in part by the novels of John Cowper Powys , Dawson's work took influence from the imagery found in the symbolic, mythic Porius and The Brazen Head. A consummate and continual practitioner, her work developed through pastels and sculpture to a form of painted papier mâché relief she took up in her late seventies.
