Sunday 29th June 2014 12 Noon - 1pm 107 Charing Cross Road Literary Event, Free Event

Sorry, this event has been cancelled due to unforeseen circumstances

Great Britain. 1984. The miners' strike. It is the closest Britain has come to civil war in fifty years, setting the government against the people. GB84, David Peace's sweeping, bloody and dramatic fictional portrait of the year that left an indelible mark on the nation's consciousness covers a broad and unexpected canvas of characters. Via live satellite link from Japan, David Peace discusses his seminal novel, reissued to mark the 30th anniversary of the miner's strike, with Richard Benson, author of The Valley.
