Extra Ordinary with Jarvis Cocker

Thursday 12th June 2014 7:30pm - 9pm 107 Charing Cross Road Literary Event, Chargeable Event

You have a unique artistic vision - you just don't know it yet.

Jarvis Cocker presents an illustrated selection of his lyrics detailing his development as a writer and intended to provide useful tips for aspiring songsmiths. Jarvis, who studied fine art and film at Central Saint Martins and took part in the college's closing ceremony prior to Foyles moving in, has been making music for two-thirds of his life. Two dozen of these years (1978 - 2002) were spent in Pulp, a group with whom he enjoyed most of the experiences you can have as the singer in a band.

This event will be chaired by Faber & Faber Editorial Director, Walter Donohue.

Jarvis Cocker will also be officially opening our new Music Department at 6.30pm: click here to book your free place
