Empirical at Foyles

Friday 30th January 2015 6:30pm - 8:30pm 107 Charing Cross Road Ray's Jazz Event, Free Event

For six nights, from Monday 26th until Saturday 31st January, Foyles opens its doors to MOBO-winning contemporary jazz group Empirical for this new and radically open approach to developing the music for their next album.
Drawing on the model of 1960s jazz bands, Empirical will play not one but six gigs of new music from their fifth album, which will be recorded the week following their Foyles sessions.
Taking inspiration from the idea of connectivity, Empirical will play a set of their latest work for your enjoyment. Then, at the end of each performance, the audience is invited to discuss and give feedback to the band.
This is a one-of-a-kind opportunity to directly contribute to the making of Empirical's new work -- so come along, and connect!

Tickets: Free, but reservation is essential. To reserve, simply add the required number of tickets to the basket below.
Please note that no physical tickets will be issued. The email confirmation you will receive is proof of your booking.
