Raymond Blanc is one of the world's most highly regarded chefs, proudly sporting two Michelin stars at his Oxfordshire hotel and restaurant Le Manoir aux Quat' Saisons and mentoring many of today's other leading chefs.
On 24th March, he will be in conversation with Anne Shooter, food writer and Commercial Editor of Mail Online, at Foyles, Charing Cross Road, discussing his new book and BBC2 TV series, Kew on a Plate.
The best dish on any of his menus, says Raymond, is 'one that's in season', a belief backed by three decades of growing his own produce in the gardens of Le Manoir for use in the kitchens.
Similarly, the gardeners at the Royal Botanical Gardens, Kew have created their own stunning Kitchen Garden, to showcase the heritage and botany of hundreds of edible plants, revealing the secrets of growing and cooking fruits and vegetables, herbs and spices.
Amid their tips and expertise, Kew on a Plate features Raymond's detailed tasting notes and 40 mouth-watering recipes that make the best of produce at its freshest. Learn the perfect variety of apple for his Tarte Tatin or pick the perfect potato for the Sunday roast.
