Foyles Film Club: Classe Tous Risques

Sunday 19th April 2015 2:30pm - Monday 20th April 2015 4:30pm 107 Charing Cross Road Free Event

Specialising in classic and international cinema, our flagship Film Department offers one of the best selections of movies on DVD in London - and our book selection spans film theory, history and practice. Curated by our expert team of buyers and booksellers, we pride ourselves on this little temple to the big screen amidst our brand new Charing Cross Road store.

Now, in our brand new Auditorium, we're running a series of screenings curated by the team to exemplify what we love about the medium.

Come along for a screening of Claude Sautet's Classe Tous Risques, the 1960 French-Italian gangster movie starring Lino Ventura and Jean-Paul Belmondo that sees mobster Abel Davos (based on real-life Gestapo henchman Abel Danos) pull one last job before fleeing to Paris to rejoin his wife and children. Somewhat overshadowed by the then-nascent Nouvelle Vague, Classe Tous Risques has since been reclaimed as an overlooked masterpiece.

Permission to screen Classe Tous Risques is kindly supplied by the BFI.

Please note that this film is rated PG certificate.

Venue: The Auditorium at Foyles, Level 6, 107 Charing Cross Road

Tickets: Free, but reservation is essential. To reserve, simply add the required number of tickets to the basket below.

Please note that no physical tickets will be issued. The email confirmation you will receive is proof of your booking.
