An EFG Gramophone Conversation with Sir Neville Marriner

Tuesday 5th May 2015 7pm - 8pm 107 Charing Cross Road Music Event, Free Event

Join us for an unforgettable evening with a towering figure in British music-making. Sir Neville Marriner is one of our most important orchestral conductors, most notably as the founder and director of the Academy of St Martin in the Fields chamber orchestra which he set up over 50 years ago.

Tonight the 91-year-old maestro (whose packed schedule indicates little inclination for slowing down) talks to Gramophone Editor-in-Chief James Jolly about his early career playing under Furtwängler and Toscanini, and his reflections on a long and deeply fruitful musical life.

Venue: The Auditorium at Foyles, Level 6, 107 Charing Cross Road

Tickets: Free and include a glass of wine. Simply add the required number to the basket below. Please note, no physical tickets will be issued: the email confirmation you receive is proof of your reservation.
