London Centre for Book Arts: Bookbinding Workshop for Kids

Saturday 5th September 2015 11:30am - 1pm 107 Charing Cross Road Children's Event, Chargeable Event

Introduce your kids to the fun craft of handmade books! Everyone will get to create their very own handmade books and a chance to embellish and personalise their creations with drawings, stamps and simple prints. Kids will be guided through a few simple steps to create works that can be turned into illustrated books, journals, and sketchbooks. Everyone will take home a handmade book and the skills to create more at home!

London Centre for Book Arts (LCBA) is an artist-run, open-access bindery and print studio providing a range of education programmes for the community and access to equipment and resources for artists. LCBA is based in Fish Island in East London, which was once the heart of London's print industry. Their mission is to promote and foster book arts and self-publishing in the UK.

This workshop is ideal for children aged between 5 and 12 years.
