Ophélie Gaillard and friends in recital

Monday 5th October 2015 7pm - 8pm 107 Charing Cross Road Music Event, Free Event

Acclaimed cellist Ophélie Gaillard joins us tonight to launch her new album Alvorada. A musical tour from Spain to Latin America (Brazil, Argentina, Cuba) Alvorada features, in particular, the composers Villa-Lobos, Granados, Piazzolla and Jobim, and immerses us in a sound universe where the feverish energy of the rhythms of this music entrances us, and where a sensual nostalgia responds to a dizzying tango.

At this free event Ophélie, together with her ensemble, performs a selection of pieces from the album and discusses her work with Gramophone Editor-in-Chief James Jolly, before signing copies of her CDs.

Venue: The Auditorium at Foyles

Tickets: Free. Simply add the required number to the basket below.

Please note that no physical tickets will be issued; the email confirmation you will receive is proof of your booking.
