Gollanczfest The Writer's Day – Saturday Afternoon ticket

Saturday 17th September 2016 3pm - 6pm The Phoenix Artist’s Club, The Phoenix Artist’s Club,, 1 Phoenix Street, London, WC2H 8BU Chargeable Event

Join science fiction and fantasy publisher Gollancz, in the cosy Phoenix Artist Club (just across the road from Foyles, Charing Cross Road) for a morning of workshops and talks focused on the mechanics and skills needed by the modern writer. writers of genre.

 

The session includes a fascinating insight into the editorial process from four Gollancz editors, a speed-workshopping section where small groups will get sessions of 15 minutes each with 5 of the participating authors to discuss the business of being a writer; and a panel discussion on worldbuilding. The session will run from 3pm until 6pm, and will be followed by a signing. Space is very limited!

 

Authors in attendance include: James Barclay, Alastair Reynolds, Bradley Beaulieu, Tom Toner, Catriona Ward, Stephen Baxter, Pat Cadigan, Scott Lynch, Elizabeth Bear, Justina Robson, Paul McAuley, Joe Abercrombie, Gavin Smith, Antonia Honeywell, Scott Lynch, Elizabeth Bear, Joe Abercrombie, and Justina Robson.

The session will contain a 20 minute interval, be followed by a signing from all authors and ticket price includes a free Gollancz goody bag.
