Moonglow: Michael Chabon in conversation
Join Pulitzer Prize winner and acclaimed author of The Amazing Adventures of Kavalier & Clay and The Yiddish Policemen’s Union, Michael Chabon, to discuss his most illuminating and personal novel yet.
Moonglow unfolds as a deathbed confession. An old man, his tongue loosened by powerful painkillers, his memory stirred by the imminence of death, tells stories to his grandson, uncovering bits and pieces of a history long buried. The keeping of secrets and the telling of lies; sex and desire and ordinary love; existential doubt and model rocketry, Moonglow condenses a lifetime into 450 pages.
Michael will be in conversation with Robert Collins. Previously the Deputy Literary Editor at The Sunday Times, Robert has written on books and arts for the Financial Times, the Guardian, the Daily Telegraph, the Observer and the Spectator. He is now Producer for Intelligence Squared.
