To celebrate the 2017 Sunday Times EFG Short Story Award, the world's richest and most prestigious prize for a single short story, Foyles Charing Cross Road is once again hosting a very special reading of the stories and Q&A with the shortlisted writers.
The remarkable mix of award-winning novelists and international writers featuring on this year's shortlist are:
Bret Anthony Johnston - Half of What Atlee Rouse Knows About Horses
Celeste Ng - Every Little Thing
Kathleen Alcott - Reputation Management
Richard Lambert - The Hazel Twig and the Olive Tree
Sally Rooney - Mr Salary
Victor Lodato - The Tenant
The actors reading this year's shortlisted stories are:
Fiona Shaw, twice winner of the Olivier Award for Best Actress and Evening Standard Award for Best Actress, star of the Harry Potter series and True Blood, whose most famous roles include Electra, Medea and Heddar Gabler
Simon Callow, star of Room with a View, Four Weddings and a Funeral and Shakespeare in Love, and of the on-man shows The Importance of Being Oscar, The Mystery of Charles Dickens, Being Shakespeare and Inside Wagner’s Head
