Synopsis

A Ceremony for Every Occasion has been written as a guide for Pagans and non-Pagans alike who wish to celebrate the passing of the seasons, the Wheel of the Year and who need a Rite of Passage for different times in their life. These rituals are spiritual, at the same time non-religious in the general accepted term. They can be adapted and used in different parts of the World and with different Deity, with a little work or simply used exactly as written. This book is a practical, step by step guide, and contains a basic list of all the items needed to take along to a ritual site in order to perform the ceremonies. There are illustrations and instructions on for instance 'how to make a set of Handfasting Cords' with photos as a guide. Each chapter has an introduction with points of interest about the season and the Deity associated.

Customer Reviews

I really love this book. There is something for everyone in it. Whatever your path, whether you’re a complete beginner or just looking for a useful addition to your collection, this is a great book to have. If you want to mark or celebrate any occasion then you can’t do better than Ceremonies for Every Occasion. It’s written in a friendly, down to earth way and packed with all the information you could ever need. Having said that, the book is very focused on the rituals and the tools and equipment necessary to carry them out. Unlike some books, you don’t have to wade through lots of other stuff to get to the things you want. The step by step instructions are really clear and it tells you exactly what items you need and, if you need to make them, how you go about doing so. Now I’ve read it, I’m wondering how I ever managed without it.

I have been lucky to be able to preview this title. A great book. Really useful to anyone wanting to practice ceremony in their craft. It is particularly valuable for anyone just starting out on their path. The ceremonies have already been tried and tested by being practiced in a community. This means that even a complete beginner can go ahead with ease. I also really appreciated the rites of passage for pets, having, over the years, buried several dear companions. The ceremonies are adaptable so the book grows with you as you grow in experience. The step by step instructions are very clear and there are pictures to help you, as well as a list of items to bring or make, with instructions on how to make them. The book contains rituals for everything; rites of passage, the wheel of the year and the seasons. A really good buy.
