Customer Reviews

The content of this book is original, because it touches upon schools of thought and movements in Psychology that cannot be found in other books, for example Neo-Freaudianism and Erich Fromm's contribution to this science. The descriptions in this book are easy to follow and historical facts are accurate. Thats preety much all I care to say about this title, hope it helps :) It is definately worth reading.

Very interesting and informative book indeed. The author illustrates the full outlook on psychology, making it much easier to understand the genesis and further development of various psychological concepts. I highly recommend this book to psychology students, as it has all of the answers to most of the tests and quizzes. Thank you.

Panorama of Psychology by Vilen Vardanyan is a very serious, deep edition containing a huge amount of very useful data. It starts with the history of psychology and psychological concepts that date back to Ancient Greece, than it proceeds to describe the movements of the Medieval period, followed by Renaissance, 17-th, 18-th and 19-th centuries. The second part of the book author dedicates to theories of personality, describing the genesis and development as well as the decline of all significant movements and schools of thought.

Very well written book. I must say that this the best book on history of psychology and why not philosophy in recent years. The book contains only necessary, useful data, I would assume it is written by a professional educator and a theoretician. It has the best selection of chapters; from Antiquity to Huamnistic movement. Very serious academical work, there aren't that many books like this one, for sure. I recommend it to everyone.
