Having never read Jane Eyre I wasn't sure of the plot line or anything, only that it was an old book. But from my first impression, of this modern day version, I liked the cover and the font and the feel of the book, which is how I usually pick books, and having read the synopsis it interested me so I thought, why not!? Back to the actual book - it's engaging, an easy read that captures you and that indeed didn't let me put it down. By easy read I don't mean that it isn't a great book, it truly is....and without giving anything away I imagine that even if you have read the original it doesn't take away any of the brilliance and suspense. Having read the book once, I would most definitely read it again, recommend it and also read the Jane Eyre original as it has inspired me to do so.
